Book "Heroin Diaries" by Nikki Sixx.
I can barely put the Heroin Diaries down. I was initially interested in it because I was going to RP a character that had a heroin habit, but I'm reading it more now as a tonic against the rebellion I'm feeling against my white-bread upbringing. Number 3 helped me to realize what I thought was an upbringing in diversity (going to a high school where as a white person I was in the minority) was really just white bread with poppy seeds sprinkled on top. Number 3 is one of those people who has done every drug available. Been shot twice, stabbed, hit by a car several times, squatted, just plain been homeless...his early life is pretty much the antithesis of mine. So instead of having to ask him to like, find some acid for me so I can get my own perspective, I'm reading this book. It's helping a little.
I'm going to see Number 3 tomorrow after not having seem him for 5 days. He spent the night at the apartment while Number 1 was down with my parents before I joined them. I was a very good girl...he slept in the bed, but we both stayed fully clothed. I behaved myself very nicely - which, I don't remember if I've mentioned previously, is a good thing. I don't want to ruin the close bond we have by complicating things with sex.
He made me the best damn chicken wings I'd ever eaten though.
I also extended the offer to Number 3 to watch his little girl if he ever needed it. He and his wife are divorcing (as of last week I believe) and for some reason he's concerned for the welfare of his kids. I won't pry into his reasons for why he doesn't feel safe leaving them with her, but I'm here for him in whatever way he needs me.
